We need accurate data and analysis to understand how the Internet is evolving to protect it from the forces that threaten it. Internet Society Pulse<\/a> consolidates trusted, third-party Internet data into a single website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pulse examines global Internet trends to help journalists, policymakers, civil society organizations, and everyone in between understand the Internet\u2019s availability, evolution, and resilience. We currently present metrics on critical Internet technologies, Internet Exchange Points, Internet resilience, Internet shutdowns, and market concentration. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mapping Terrestrial Fibre Optic Infrastructure<\/h3><\/div>

The availability of adequate data on existing telecom infrastructure, particularly fiber optic infrastructure, can support decisions for more targeted and cost-efficient infrastructure investments by the private and public sectors. 

The Open Fiber Data Standard (OFDS) addresses the challenge of inadequate data on fiber optic infrastructure by proposing a solution that aims to establish a global open standard for fiber optic infrastructure data.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
