WSIS+20<\/a> is a process driven by the United Nations to determine the effectiveness of the actions taken to use Information and Communications Technologies to advance development since 2005. The result will define the UN’s actions in the coming years, including how non-governmental stakeholders will be involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Internet Society will inform the intergovernmental deliberations with arguments that will defend the participation of all stakeholders, with expertise from the technical community, and preserve the Internet as a force for good and its open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want to help like-minded governments strengthen their positions and convince middle-ground countries to defend pro-Internet positions by sharing compelling evidence-based stories and arguments, demonstrating how different stakeholders contribute to delivering tangible benefits for people in their countries. We use data from the Internet Society Pulse<\/a>, arguments from our policy analysis, and briefs to inform the public debate and inspire our community and partners to join us, bringing the<\/strong> voice of the Internet to the deliberations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
